The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission has given MidAmerican Energy approval to add natural gas furnace rebates for 2013 only. The rebates are available for equipment purchased between Jan. 1, 2013 and Dec. 31, 2013. Specific rebate amounts for various energy efficient furnaces are listed below.

AFUE .930 – .949 = $500
AFUE .950 – .969 = $700
AFUE .970+ = $1,000
